What this site collects, why, and what happens to it, in plain words.

Last updated October 20, 2026

This page explains, in plain words, what information therivarra.com collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: I collect as little as possible, I never sell anything about you, and most of what you do here stays in your own browser.

Candles in the Candle Room and Rainbow Bridge Room

When you light a candle, the name and words you write stay in your own browser. They are not sent to or stored on my server. Your browser remembers your recent candles on your own device so you can see them again. If you share a candle, the name travels inside the link you send, so only the people you share it with can see it.

If you add a photo in the Rainbow Bridge Room or the prayer card maker, the picture is put together right in your browser. The photo itself is not uploaded.

The Remembrance Garden

Gardens are shared with family, so they are saved on the server. A garden holds what you type into it: the name, any dates and words you add, the flower you chose, notes people leave and any "From" names they give, and how many times it has been tended. Each garden has its own private link, and gardens are never listed publicly or shown to search engines. Your browser also keeps a random code so it can remember which gardens you have opened.

To prevent misuse, the server keeps a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address (not the address itself) to apply gentle limits on how often gardens can be planted or tended. If you would like a garden removed, email me the garden link and I will delete it.

Keepsakes and purchases

When you buy a printable keepsake, your browser creates the finished image files and sends them to my server so you can download them after paying. Those files are deleted automatically 24 hours later.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and email address to complete the purchase and send your receipt. I never see or store your card number. I can see the basic details Stripe shows sellers, such as the amount paid and the email address used, and I use them only to help if something goes wrong with your order.

The 555 Workbook download works the same way: payment through Stripe, then a download page.

Analytics

Therivarra uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are helpful, for example how many people visit, which articles they read and roughly where visits come from. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your device type, browser and approximate location (city or region). I do not use it to identify you personally, and I do not run advertising based on it. You can read how Google uses this information, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Email

If you email me, I use your email address only to reply to you. I do not add you to any mailing list.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other sites, such as Pinterest, TikTok, Stripe, my Printify shop and my Amazon storefront. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Affiliate disclosure: as an Amazon Associate, Therivarra earns from qualifying purchases made through the Amazon storefront link. It does not change the price you pay.

Children

Therivarra is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices

  • You can clear your browser's site data at any time to remove the candles and garden list it remembers.

  • You can ask me to delete a garden or anything you have sent me by emailing therivarra@gmail.com.
